The Batman’s Character is dark which the result of a childhood trauma of seeing your parents murdered right in front of you. A very Dark, brooding character that instills fear in his enemies that aids him in his fight against crime.
Although his persona as Bruce Wayne, is a completely different from his Batman persona being a millionaire playboy an eternal bachelor as told by Selina Kyle. As stated, in the comics that whenever he dons the Batman costume, he changes into his dark, sinister side that his enemies cringe at the sight of him. The purpose of his Dark costume, is to be able to hide himself in the shadows.

Australian actor Heath Ledger has been found dead in his New York apartment. According to police, his masseur arrived at his house in Soho this morning for an appointment, and was let in by his housekeeper.

They then entered the bedroom after getting no response, only to find Ledger unconscious on his bed. They immediately called the authorities, and the police have said they don’t suspect any foul play.

According to The New York Times, pills were found by Ledgers body. An entry on the actors Wikipedia page was suggesting that a large quantity of heroin was also found, but the page has now been edited, and these rumours are unsubstantiated.

Ledger was only 28, and had a huge career ahead of him. He had already won huge critical acclaim for his role as a gay cowboy in 2005’s Brokeback Mountain. Stephen Holden of The New York Times wrote at the time:

Mr. Ledger magically and mysteriously disappears beneath the skin of his lean, sinewy character. It is a great screen performance, as good as the best of Marlon Brando and Sean Penn.

He also plays The Joker in the forthcoming Batman movie The Dark Knight, which is due out on July 18th. From the preview screenings and trailers, his portrayal of the evil character was already receiving appreciation and comments that he’d managed to outdo Jack Nicholson in the role.

Ledgers personal life hasn’t been quite as happy as his on career though. He met actress Michelle Williams on the set of Brokeback Mountain, and they had a daughter together. Unfortunately, the couple split up last year.

At this time, Ledgers agent and spokesman have failed to talk to the press, and so details of his death are still quite thin on the ground.

What is clear however, is that Hollywood, and the movie industry, has lost a great young actor today.

In remembrance to the old Joker, played by Jack Nicholson would be a very different and dark Joker, from the one that we played. To match the dark version of Batman from Chris Nolan’s imagination. And as Micheal Caine said about the Joker, “I’ll tell you who it’s about. It’s about Heath Ledger as The Joker. He will be the talking point of the next Batman.” “one of the scariest performances I’ve ever seen.”

There has been clamor for another installment of the Chris Nolan Batman film franchise, especially with the success of the last film ‘The Dark Knight’, which was made extra memorable by the late Heath Ledger’s awesome and timeless performance.

While many from the film like producer Charles Roven have expressed a positive attitude towards another movie – this sentiment was naturally echoed by Warner Brothers, who are looking to another money train with the release of another Batman movie – all have agreed that the reins lie with Chris Nolan and David Goyer, who developed the story for the last two films.

Chris Nolan, for his part, has refused to commit to another Batman film, citing that he is still looking whether or not there is another storyline he sees himself investing in. However, he says some ideas have been thrown around, so we’d best wait and see what happens.

The series hails from the likes of fictional action superheroes like Superman, Iron man and many other superheroes who are more or less millionaires turned crime fighters at night. With unlimited financial backing and an ego to match, they roam the dangerous streets of the world ridding it of crime as they try to do good for the sake of the many. The persona of such individuals are quite unstable for they tend to have traumatic experiences in the past which brings out their inner evils but this time turning them to good. Batman started out as a comic character that was taken to the TV with the successful series. This was the time when gadgets and gizmos came to light that challenged the show’s special effects people to produce.
The Bat-phone as an example has been given some credit for the concept of the mobile phone which is now more common than computers. The Bat-Computer has become the representation of the developing computer industry that was at the time on the electro-mechanical side. The many innovations that were inspired by such forward thinking people in the movie industry that catered to our curiosity and thus filled the need are immeasurable.

Heath’s death, weighed heavy on the film but it performed better than expected partly due to the respect many gave to him. The Dark Night had him undergoing extensive research and experimentation to take on the character of the Joker. There are talks of more films but no solid facts have yet been put on paper but the characters have expressed interest.
There have also been no digital editing to the parts he made in the film, in order to preserve his overall character. The death of a stuntman mentioned in the previous post also tainted the film yet Heath topped all issues due to his untimely death being one of the hottest actors in Hollywood to date. He lived to the fullest and died so suddenly, people were so shocked at news of his demise. He is forever going to be part of the movie phenomenon that is Batman.

A widow of a Kiwi stunt man who was killed on the set while filming scenes from the latest Batman flick, The Dark Knight, is calling all movie companies to take safety and health as one of their priorities for their stunt technicians. The stunt man from New Zealand, Conway Wickliffe was killed last September 2007. It was reported that the stunt man Wickliffe was leaning out on a window of a four-wheel-drive, he was facing backwards on a test run for blowing up the Batmobile. The driver failed to steer away from a tree that was on the scene. The truck eventually hit the tree, killing Conway from severe injuries from the impact. He was pronounced dead on the spot. The widow, Derryn called on movie productions to further beef up their measure in safety when it comes to stunt scenes.

• Christopher Nolan’s first choice for the role of Harvey Dent was Matt Damon. But Damon turned it down. Many actors were considered in the cast before settling for Aaron Eckheart, including hugh Jackman, Ryan Phillippe and Josh Lucas to name a few.
• One bat suit was customized with nipples much the same as in Batman & Robin in 1997, as joke. The crew presented it to Christian Bale as the real bat suit, but immediately knew it was a joke. Fortunately, he got a glimpse of the design in pictures during the pre production. Although he still wore it and posed for publicity photos in the nipple suit.
• This is obviously the first Batman film to NOT have “Batman” in its main title.
• When the press asked why they chose Heath Ledger for the Joker role, Nolan replied “because he’s fearless”.
• Heath Ledger lived alone in a hotel room for a month to prepare for his role as the Joker. He wrote a diary and kept Joker’s thoughts and feelings to guide himself while portraying the character.
